I was visiting Pakistan in September 2008 and my family wanted me to join some IT courses.
I was a bit reluctant because I was of the view that there is no standard in Pakistan but I joined NICON F8 Campus for Web & Graphic Designing and A+ Hardware Course and it really changed my whole thinking. They just didn't teach the technique but how to apply it and that make them different from the others. Hats off to NICON.

Being a foreigner, it's always difficult to learn in Pakistan as usually the institutes offer lectures in URDU language only but my experience with NICON was totally different. I joined NICON for ITPB course and I had other native classmates who were not easy with the English language but our instructor managed it very well. He explained everything in URDU and ENGLISH so that all of us can understand. I believe that this dedication is the key to NICON's success. 10/10 to NICON.

Kareena Kapoor is quite uncomfortable with Saif's kids
Recently, the Chotae Nawab, Saif Ali Khan essayed the role of a very responsible dad. He indeed is a devoted boyfriend and would 'follow' his beau, Kareena almost anywhere, but he recently surprised the world when he achieved a greater degree of responsibility to be with his kids and his ex-office Amrita.
It's rumored that Kareena Kapoor is quite uncomfortable with Saif's kids. She avoids them as much as she can.
Everytime they are around, she disappears and when the children come to stay with their dad, Kareena moves to her own apartment.
Kareena-Saif are one of the hottest couples of present Bollywood and are seen almost everywhere together. Be it a red carpet function, a movie premier or a social page 3 party, the two are always seen with each other.
However, everytime Saif's children come to visit him; he has to leave her company in order to give some quality company to them. It seems that fatherhood is still alive inside him and from what it seems, it's not just alive but also quite active in Khan's persona!
So the Chotae Nawab flew off to London after his Agent Vinod's schedule in Morocco ended. He did this only to spend some nice time with his children. The children are with Amrita, Saif's former wife and all of them are having a gala time there. Saif simply wishes to join them so it seems.

Meet Ali Zafar: He's hot, married & won't live in Mumbai
The Tere Bin Laden newbie can sing, dance and make you laugh.
PS: He's hot, married and won't leave Dubai for Mumbai
Ali Zafar has churned out pop albums, and today he's making his B-Town debut in Pooja Shetty Deora's Tere Bin Laden.
He has managed to impress most people who have seen the film. Karan Johar has been raving about him ever since he watched it. Not surpringly, Ali has already been swamped with offers.
Even though it's his debut on the big screen, Ali (31) has already done theatre and films. He explains, "I have had an inclination towards acting for a long time. My music videos have always had a story shot like a mini film. When Tere Bin Laden came to me, I was super excited about the subject."
Going by his good looks, a debut in a romantic comedy would have been more apt, but he says he didn't want to follow the tried and tested route.
"I was waiting for something really different than the expected and this film came at the right time. Everyone who's seen it has loved it and that's encouraging." Ali lives in Lahore, has a second home in Dubai, and no plans to move to Mumbai to further his career. "Actors are like vagabonds, so I will travel wherever work takes me. There are no plans as of now to shift to Mumbai."
He is all praise for KJo. "I met him with my producer Pooja (Shetty) and was awestruck by his perspective and deep knowledge of films. It felt great knowing he really enjoyed the film." Among the B-town actors, Ali is a huge fan of the Khan trio -- Aamir, Shah Rukh and Salman. "All three of them are brilliant."
Female brigade
Among the ladies it is Katrina, Kareena and Priyanka. He would love to woo them on screen but off-screen, he is married to his long time sweetheart Ayesha Fazli, for a little over a year. Ali has a Sufi album titled Jhoom coming up. "A while back, I did some YouTube live performances that did really well. At the moment though I am just focusing on the film, so making music has taken a backseat, " he says.

Aamir wants a song from Madhumati in Dhobi Ghat
Aamir Khan is one actor in Bollywood, who has always experimented with his films and always tried new and different things. This time, Aamir is willing to use a song from the 1958 movie Madhumati in his wife's film Dhobi Ghat.
Directed by late Bimal Roy, the film starred veteran Dilip Kumar and Vyjayantimala. Aamir wants to incorporate the hit duet 'Dil tadap tadap ke keh raha aa bhi jaa' in Kiran Rao's directorial debut movie, which stars Prateik Babbar and Monica Dogra along with Aamir Khan. Aamir thinks the song can enhance the scene in Kiran's film.
According to a source, “The production house of Aamir is in talks with Bimal Roy's daughter Rinki Bhattacharya to convince her to offer the rights of the song for Dhobi Ghat. Dilip Kumar and Vyjayantimala were immortalized with this song”.
Confirming the news, Rinki Bhattacharya said, “Yes, we are discussing over it and we have no issues to provide the rights for a one-time use. Aamir seems to be very keen to use this song in his film”.
The Bollywood perfectionist actor has been able to convince the family of the acclaimed director Bimal Roy. The evergreen song was in the voice of yesteryear hit pair Lata Mangeshkar and Mukesh.
If everything is settled, the song will appear with a new look in the film. It is reported that the song will be picturized on Aamir Khan and Roy's family has no objection if Khan remixes the song.
A senior member of Bimal Roy's family said, “Our family has a relation with Aamir's family since the days of Aamir's uncle Nasir Hussain, who was very close friend of Bimal Roy”.
Bimal Roy's son, Joy said from London, “We are ready to give Aamir the rights of the song of Madhumati to be used in his wife's directorial debut movie. We have no issues if Aamir wants to use the remixed version of the song in his movie. If this golden era song is made available for the young generation of today, it would be very nice”.
Well, it will be a treat for the audience when Aamir comes up with the movie including this golden era song.

Why Bipasha chants the Gayatri Mantra?
A scared Bipasha chants Gayatri Mantra 3000 times to get through the journey
Bipasha Basu is a nervous flier. Like most people who fear flying, she avoids being on small aircrafts, which are more susceptible to air turbulence.
On Wednesday, the actress was to fly back to Mumbai from Diu after completing Priyadarshan's Aakrosh, and her co-star Ajay Devgn convinced her to accompany him on a small chartered flight.
There is a regular 64-seater direct flight from Diu to Mumbai but it takes four hours and takes a detour via Porbander. Ajay decided to return to the city sooner by chartering a flight, and flying directly with five other members of the cast and crew.
Never again...
The six-seater Cessna had them back in the city in an hour. Says producer Kumar Mangat, "Robin Bhatt, Priyadarshan, Reema Sen and George were also on the same flight." Even though they saved 90 minutes of flying time, Bips doesn't want to repeat the experience.
The actress says, "When AJ asked me to fly with him, I was reluctant. I have a fear of small flights and have avoided them for nine years. I didn't want to take the normal flight as it takes more time so I said yes. Also, I didn't want to sound like a freak when everyone else was being so brave."
The actress continues, "You have to crawl into the aircraft. But Ajay pacified me by saying that he, too, is claustrophobic and that I would feel better after some time if I relaxed. After we took off, we ran into rough weather and were thrown around in our seats like potatoes in a sack. I have been reading about plane crashes for a while now and panicked."
The rest of the people on the flight, however, remained unperturbed. "Ajay, Reema and George were laughing and joking about the plane crashing while Priyan slept."
Chant use
The actress learnt the Gayatri Mantra last year and she kept chanting it to calm her nerves. Bips adds, "It just popped into my mind. I think I must have chanted it at least 3000 times on that flight.
Fortunately, the plane landed safely. I hate flying; especially in the monsoons when the weather gets choppy. Initially, Ajay and Reema were trying to scare me but when she saw how terrified I was, she asked Ajay to stop joking."
She recalls another horrifying flying experience in 2008. "It was during the monsoons and I was on a Mumbai- Bangkok flight.
The turbulence never stopped and the trolley of the airhostesses jumped in the air and the food got scattered everywhere. That's why I am scared of travelling during the monsoons and am almost paranoid about flying. But now, this Diu flight tops that experience."

What was Geeta Basra doing alone in Bhajji's vanity van?
Geeta Basra spent a long time on the sets where 'good friend' cricketer Harbhajan Singh was shooting for a show
Geeta Basra was spotted at Film City on Wednesday on the sets of Zara Nachke Dikha. Nothing curious about that until you consider that her good friend Harbhajan Singh and his teammate Irfan Pathan were shooting for the dance show's finale.
The cricketers were celebrity guests on the TV show that aired over the weekend. Her presence led to speculation as she had nothing to do with the show.
Says a source, "Onlookers were taken aback to see Geeta hovering around. It was a long shoot as the judges Shilpa Shetty, Arshad Warsi and Vaibhavi Merchant were also performing."
Adds the source, "There were hushed whispers about Harbhajan and the actress. Both he and Irfan were in one vanity van. After a while, Irfan stepped out and Geeta was seen stepping in."
When asked about the incident Geeta simply says, "No comment." Though there has been an on/off buzz about the actress and the Indian off-spinner for a long time, the two have refrained from speaking out openly about their relationship.
Geeta, who has featured in films like Dil Diya Hai and The Train, has of late, gained more publicity for her link-up with Bhajji.
At the IPL awards ceremony this year, host Shah Rukh Khan, in his inimitable style, had taken a potshot at the cricketer by asking, "Bhajji apka ghar kab Basra hai?" While a blushing Bhajji couldn't help but grin, SRK bounced the next question, "Gita ki kasam kha kar kaho?" Bowled?
Ek Haseena aur Ek Khiladi ki kahaani
Two years ago, when Bhajji was shaking a leg in the reality show Ek Haseena Ek Khiladi, Geeta was spotted with him at a Bandra five-star hotel.
As reported ('Bhajji hits the jackpot'; Hitlist, September 23, 2008), Geeta had then maintained, "We are just friends and there is nothing more to it. Whenever he is in Mumbai, we catch up. He is a fun-loving guy and we just chill out."
While Bhajji has stated, "Yes, I do know Geeta. She is a lovely girl and a Punjabi like me. We do meet for dinners but we have common friends. Just because I am seen with someone, does not mean anything."

Slim body keeps Jolie away from workout
Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie says she's always been naturally slim and doesn't really need to workout.
"I really don't workout. I've always been kind of slight and I've always loved to run and jump around and be physical, so action roles are not a huge challenge for me. I enjoy them," femalefirst.co.uk quoted her as saying.
Jolie revealed that during filming the first "Tomb Raider" movie, she was given a special diet plan to make her feel healthier.
"It was such a challenge physically. A special diet also helped me shape my body. I ate steamed sea bass or steamed beef and vegetables and I had no sugar and only drank soy milk.
"I'm all for curves on a woman and feeling sexy. I never felt healthier or stronger than during the filming of this movie," she added.

John chucks football to play Priyanka's husband
John Abraham's plans to watch the FIFA final in South Africa have gone kaput, thanks to Vishal Bhardwaj. John had painstakingly planned his schedule such that he will be free on the dates he needed to watch the final of the football world cup at the stadium.
However, at the nth minute, Vishal Bhardwaj called up, saying that he needed John's dates for some urgent work on Saat Khoon Maaf. John plays one of Priyanka's husbands in the film.
John had no option, but to give in to Vishal's demand and cancel his flight plans. The final match will be played on Sunday between Spain and The Netherlands.
John, who is a footballer himself, had wanted to watch all the matches in South Africa, but due to his work schedule, he had to content himself with the final. He had even finished with his work for Dostana 2 just so that he could go to Johannesburg for the final.

Tango time for Priyanka Chopra
The actress is keen on mastering the dance form for Saat Khoon Maaf. By the way, she dances with a supporting actor and not any of her screen hubbies
Priyanka Chopra will be seen doing the tango in Vishal Bhardwaj's Saat Khoon Maaf. A sequence in the film requires PC to perform the South American dance form. Ever since she got back from her schedule in Coorg, the actress has been watching videos and is trying to master the steps.
This is the first time she is learning to learn a special dance form for a film. She's has always always loved watching people do the intricate steps in English films and is quite excited about being trained by a professional tango dancer.
Making efforts
The dance is important to the script (perhaps like the one in Scent Of A Woman) which is why PC is making the effort to master the dance rather than do an impromptu jig on the sets.
Says an insider, "Vishal is very particular about every minute detail. When he wrote the scene, he was very clear that his leading lady had to perform the tango like an expert."
The actress won't be seen doing the dance with any of her on-screen husbands like John Abraham, Naseeruddin Shah, Irrfan Khan or others. "She dances with a supporting character.
Since the tango is all about chemistry between the partners, PC has been making efforts to involve the actor in the rehearsals as well." Priyanka confirms, "Yes, I am learning the tango and quite excited about it."
What is the tango?
Tango is a dance that has influences from Spanish and African culture. Dances from the candomble ceremonies of former slave peoples helped shape the modern day Tango. The dance originated in lower-class districts of Buenos Aires. The music derives from the fusion of various forms of music from Europe.

Flying kites was hard for me: Hrithik Roshan
Hrithik Roshan is all set to fly Kites with Mexican belle Barbara Mori and desi girl Kangna Ranaut. The actor in conversation with Sreya Basu.
You have always been experimenting with your roles, especially in your home productions…
I tell you, it's not easy to make or be part of a film that's breaking all barriers. But that's what my father (Rakesh Roshan) and I have been consciously doing for the past few years.
And they all turned to be major blockbusters not just in India but across the world. I played a superhero (in Krissh), a mentally-challenged youth (in Koi Mil Gaya).
Initially both the roles were laughed at because in India people think that a hero is all about an image and he should not break away from it. But as an actor, I think it's my duty and inherent strive to evolve and find out what else is there.
Is this the reason why you take such long gaps between your films…because you are choosy?
I don't know what to say-whether I do less films because I choose to do less films, or I don't have time to do more films. I would actually want to do more films.
But I need time to absorb, get into my character…I get too involved, may be I have my own apprehensions. That's the way I am built I guess; so even if I want to do 10 films a year, I won't have the capacity to do them.
Was it a conscious decision to make the film in English?
It was not a conscious decision to make the film in English language. But there was an instinct, a feeling in all our hearts that something needs to be done over the project.
And then, one thing led to the other….and one fine day Kites became a global, cross-cultural, Mexican-Spanish-Indian-English film. By the way, the international version of the film has less Hindi, but the Indian version has a lot of the language.
So, in which language you shot the film?
We shot the film in English.
Do you expect Kites to break Box Office records of Koi Mil Gaya and Krissh?
It doesn't matter what I expect or want of Kites. All I can say is that it's a beautiful film and am really proud of it. Every person who watches this film will take back home some emotions, as Barbara keeps saying it will make them fall in love all over again.
Why is that we are not seeing Kangna Ranaut in the promos and posters of Kites?
The film is a love story between two characters-Barbara and me. That's what the film is about. Idea of how to project the first image or promos of the film comes from the director's vision of what he should tell the audiences.
That's how promos are made. What's this is not here, why that is not there is not half our concern or your concern. It's just the director's prerogative.
Barbara keeps saying that she saw all your films the moment she knew you will be working with her. Did you do the same?
I had watched a lot of her films. But when I saw her face for the first time on a laptop (my father called me and show her photo), it took me a second to decide she is the one to play Natasha (in Kites).
And what did you see in her (Barbara) to come to this decision?
We were looking for a face that had vulnerability with a lot of dignity.
With Barbara stepping into Hindi films, did you ever consider working in a Spanish film?
Of course I have. I have already told Barbara that if she has a role…a character, that I can be good at…then I am ready to give it a shot.
Do you speak fluent Spanish?
Well, Susanne (wife) and I try to speak Spanish. We also did a course to learn the language properly. We did pretty good and even reached the intermediate level.
Then I had eight months of Guzarish (Sanjay Leela Bhansali film) and I went to a completely different world. But I understand the language perfectly.
Have you ever tried to fly kites?
(Laughs) We lived on the 13th floor and papa (Rakesh Roshan) used to teach me to fly kites. But flying kites was too hard for me because I was so small.
I used to wonder why the kite is so light when you hold it in your hands, but becomes difficult to handle with a manjha. I remember that clearly…the kite always used to fly out of my hands.

Suzanne feels I am the best in the world: Hrithik Roshan
Hrithik Roshan is all set to woo his fans once again with Kites. A real cross over international film, Kites has a mix of Indian and International artistes. Releasing on May 21st, this love story looks at relationships and love from a new perspective.
Q: You have always been involved with all your films from the beginning? Is it the same with Kites too?
The story of Kites is my father's, so I did know the basic concept but I wasn't too clear about it. Kites is not the kind of film my father has been making. So I was little skeptical about it.
But my father told me that he had invloved Anurag in it. He told me to wait for the final script. If I did not like it he was willing to take another hero for it. Me and my father don't have any ego hassle, which is why together we give our best shot.
Anurag Basu reacted positive on the story and he went to work on it for a month. When he came back we had a joint meeting - Anurag, Me and my father. When I heard his take on it I was completely blown out.
After waiting for 2 years and sitting idle because of lack of good script, I had a story that I fell in love with. I actually jumped up from my chair and danced around in my room shouting with joy. I knew that this story is going to workout something great for me.
Q: What about Barbara? Is she a spontaneous actress?
When we met Barbara and understood her world and her approach to the acting, everything just fit in very very good and right way, because she is completely spontaneous. She prepares a lot but all the preparation is like the lava forming in volcano but when it busts, when its an action time, she just explodes.
She does care where its falling and how, there is no control over the explosion. You just fill up yourself with that energy when it action time. And that's how we are started doing with this with right from the first day of shooting.
Q: At what point English became an integral part of the film?
Basically we had the script of Hindi film but when I started doing first takes with Barbara, I realized that there is kind of disbalance in the equation. My dialogs were in Hindi and she was speaking in Spanish. What was bothering me was that I am playing a guy who was born in Las Vegas and who knows English.
Any person who knows English and goes to foreign land, he will first try and communicate in universal language. He won't use his mother tongue to communicate. Since it was looking unnatural, we decided to use English.
Q: How did Anurag like the idea of using English?
Once we decided to speak in English like anybody from Vegas would, Anurag was absolutely floored. He said I am seeing what I wanted to see in the film now and that's how every scene went. None of us had our dialogs written, every single scene you see in the film has been improvised. No two take have ever been same.
All Barbara and I were instructed was that this is the point A this is where the scene starts and this is the point B this is where the scene ends. Going from point A to point B was up to us.
Q: Are you saying that dialogues are your own improvisation only?
We did have a script in Hindi but English improvisation was done by us. In fact os many times we would keep talking and would use a lot of footage. This was at all not very economical for the film. Then we started to restrict our self as we have to get to that point a little faster.
Q: There are lots of risky stunts in the film. Why did you not use a double?
I didn't see it as risk. Having worked in action films, I have sort of cultivated a knack of understanding for action scenes. I knew what kind of safety requirements I needed.
And once you have a good check on that and have a detailed examination of exactly what you want to do and you are stable and balanced in your mind, your body sort of speaks to you and tells it can be done it or not.
Every time my body has told me that yes I can do it I do the action scenes myself. I cannot allow fear to overcome me. I have done the film like Krissh where I have cable snap falling from 45 fits. But you have to learn to trust your own instincts and people you work with.
Q: Why don't you do away with the break?
You can't remove the break because all the theaters make their money in the interval time by selling samosa & popcorn.
Even in English film originally there is no interval but in India they creat interval at whatever point they want. That one fear I have in my mind that the people should not judge the film at interval point because it's not constructed as 2 films. It is one film without the high of dhantana… ab kya hoga..That's not their in the film.
Q: You have worked with all brilliant actresses from Bollywood, how would you compare Barbara with them?
It's not fair to compare because she comes from a completely different world of cinema. Her approach has been cultivated in a different world. All of us here have one conditioned approach to film making, about acting and wouldn't think anyone better or worst.
I would see the approach that artiste have in the west, as level two because they come from more honest films. And that's the kind of film I would like too. I aspire to be an actor who could be completely honest with his character and with his film.
Q: Would you say that Barbara is the best?
I did not say that. I cannot take away credit from all the great films that I have made or the people in my fraternity have made and kind of the films my father has made. But their films are more honest. They can't do what we do in our films, but the thing is that they don't want to do what we do.
It is definitely level two because it's devoid of any, as I said, external factors. They are not catering to the audience. You know so I love that.
Q. Would we see you doing Hollywood films?
Hollywood, yes if I finally decide on a script. That's the future, I can't confirm anything now.
Q: What is the reaction of your wife Suzanne for Singer Hrithik?
In this she is obvious completely biased. She feels I am best singer in the world she compares me with Elvis Presley. I don't believe in that I just feels it all what her love comes out for me.
