Manchhar Lake continues to recede
SEHWAN: The water level at Manchhar Lake is persistently going down, as its water is falling into Indus River, Geo News reported Monday.
The joint Rescue and Relief operation by Pak Army and Chinese Relief team is underway to relocate the people marooned in flooded areas at FP Bund and Suprio Bund.
The breaches at the Lake bund 95, 96 and 97 spread to overall two kilometers with the lake outpouring in progress from cut-13 caused in Larkana-Sehwan protective embankment. This cut widened to 1340 feet.
According to Irrigation Department, Indus River is receiving over 25,000 cusecs from the Lake letting out water from the cut with effect that the Lake is coming back to normality.
Meantime, medical camps have also been set up for the affectees present at Suprio and FP bunds.
